Ideas for a DVD showing venue?

An idea for the next meetup event: Free DVD showing

The DVD could be either a recently released ET disclosure documentary called "Fastwalkers" or one of the DVD's from Crop Circle Connector about the progression and wonder of crop circles.

Can anyone help me find a venue to show a DVD? I have access to a projector and speakers, just need a public setting with a large wall for the screen.

Trying to finalize the date and time as soon as possible. I was thinking sometime around April 7 - 12, or April 21 - 26, maybe.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Andy,

I can recommend a place in Richardson, however, they charge for the use of their room. But you could charge $5 to those who attend and give all the money to them (I do that with a group I organize there) or you could charge more (or not) and do a 70/30 split with them. They would put it on their calendar and (unless you want to keep it "private only") send out an e-mail notice to their list about the event which could help draw other people to the event besides just our group. They also have a large projection screen, projector, speakers, and everything else you would need.

If you're interested in contacting them, the place is called "Spiritual Fitness Center". Go to www.spiritualfitnesscenter.com for more details about them.

If you'd rather find a place that would be free, try checking into some of the libraries or Half Price Books on NW Hwy. They wouldn't be as private, but you could possibly rent a space there for free.

Hope this helps!
Have a wonderful day!

Some libraries have different size rooms (with doors for privacy), which they rent out for as little as $5.00 per evening. It's just a matter of finding such a library that's also central enough. I only know of the one in Hurst, but apparently that's too far away for most of the group members.

Hi Lou and Kellye,

Thanks. Probably going to use Half Price Books for the next (April) event - a Crop Circle DVD showing. The only open slot they have is after 7:00 pm on Wed, April 30. I hope this works for whoever is interested.

But Lou, most definitely, if you can manage to confirm availability at the library I'd be willing to travel down there. Possibly in May or sometime after...? Send me a message sometime with your contact info and we can coordinate.

Andy,

Are you talking about the Halfprice Books on NW Hwy?

So far, that date would work for me unless something comes up between now and then.

The crop circle movie you're wanting to show, is it the same one you showed last summer at Central Market, I believe?

Off topic here, but did you ever see or hear about the article that was written in the Advocate that you, me, and Erin all took pictures for? I'd be interested to see the outcome of it, but I don't get the Advocate where I live.

Kellye,

Actually I was thinking a different film, from Crop Circle Connector. A friend of mine just ordered a whole bunch of them. So it should be new to all of us.

And yes, the April Advocate issue on unique hobby groups will be out very soon. I know there are many stores with racks that disperse them. They are within the Dallas area (Addison/North Dallas down to Lakewood and over west toward Marsh/635). If I can I'll grab extra copies
